The one who picked up the mother box last issue is this man, Sonny Sumo, he is a, well, as you can see, he's a gladiator.

After the fight Sonny Sumo gets hurt but the motherbox heals him and makes him an offer that he accepts.

The mother box transports Sumo to Desaad's camp. He frees Mark Moonrider.

Next the powerful Sumo frees Big Bear.

Desaad's machinery decides to go haywire.

Beautiful Dreamer the sleeping beauty is "woken" by mother box.

Serafin and Vykin are freed next but Sumo and the Forever People face a brace of guards.

Before the guards could fire, Sumo utters a command for them to sleep and . . .

Apparently this is a demonstration of the anti-life equation, the power to control all living beings, which Sumo posesses and Darkseid covets.
