Forever People 7

The second panel of this issue is a beautifule double page spread of New Genesis.

Here we see Izaya, the Zeus figure of New Genesis, in discussion. We are informed that the Forever People have not been destroyed by Darkseid (which says something about Darkseid) but have been scattered througout time.
Mark Moonrider and Beautiful Dreamer find themselves in the theatre in the 1800s. The fateful theatre in which Abraham Lincoln will be assassinated.

Vykin finds himself among conquistadors exploring the New World.

Big Bear is thrown in with the Saxons during the Roman withdrawal from Britain.

Kirby devotes a beautiful page to depict the actual withdrawal.

Meanwhile, back in current time, we take a look at what remains of the Forever People - Serafin. He has found the Super Bike and so has Glorious Godfrey and his Justifiers.
An attack is made on the Super Bike but the machine is not without its defenses.

Serifan also fights back with the power of his cartridges.

Alas, Godfrey and his troops bury the pair underneath a mountain

As the panel above states, Serifan seems to have escaped.
If Darkseid commands the Omega power Izaya commands the Alpha power. In the panel below he uses that power to bring back the Forever People.

Back in the theatre, Mark Moonrider and Beautiful Dreamer happen upon John Wilkes Booth.

But before they could do anything they are taken away by Izaya's alpha power. All the other Forever People are likewise transported. They find themselves near the location of the buried Super Cycle. The vehicle promptly frees itself. Only one is missing, Serifan. Big Bear uses he cycle's technology to locate their lost friend.
Serifan finds himself in Japan where he is presented with the mother box. Best of all he is told that Sonny Suma was transported in Japan's distant past where he lived a famous, accomplished and good life - away from the machinations of Darkseid.

I can't think of a better ending for Sonny Sumo.
