Titans 3

This issue starts in the middle of the action started last issue so a recap is in order. Abra Kadabra creates fake yet fully powered older versions of the Titans. The real Titans show up and a melee ensues and the fight slowly goes against the real heroes. Then Tempest identifies the mastermind, Abra Kadabra, and confronts him but Tempest is taken down by the magician as the panel below shows.

So the big mystery of who made Wally West disappear and who mindwiped the other Titans (and presumably every other person who knew Wally) has been answered. It is the ridiculously named Abra Kadabra. Ridiculously named he may be but this villain packs some serious power. He's been able to do multiperson mindwipes, exile Wally to the Speed Force dimension, and create fully powered Titans. It's all because of his mastery of the technology of the future. One thing remains a mystery though: motive. It's a shallow one, but in the panel below Kadabra reveals his driving force.

He's referring to Wally West. As both Nightwing and the Flash try to jump him he disappears.

Only to reappear in full megalomania/showman mode, shouting to the city.

During the fight, Arsenal was subjected to Wonder Girl's lasso and he said something which, in the aftermath, Donna calls him up on.

And that is how we know that Arsenal does in fact love Donna Troy.
Wally cannot help but try to connect with a Linda Park who does not know him.

It's an awkward start but it is a start. Before the conversation ends, Kadabra pops in and kidnaps Linda who has been identified in the previous isues by one of his thralls as the perfect bait to snag one Wally West.
